Biography – Elisa M. Lang, Ph.D.

I am a licensed Ph.D. psychologist in private practice on Philadelphia’s Main Line for the past 20 years. I received both my M.Ed. and Ph.D. at Temple University.

I practice Cognitive Behavioral and Interpersonal therapeutic modalities. Below is a brief description of each:

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on changing thoughts in order to solve psychological and personality problems.

Interpersonal therapy (IPT) is a short-term supportive psychotherapy that focuses on the interactions between people and a person’s development.

My favorite quote that expresses my approach to psychotherapy:

~I believe that we are not here to see through one another,
but to see one another through~
