Biography – Elisa M. Lang, Ph.D.
I am a licensed Ph.D. psychologist in private practice on Philadelphia’s Main Line for the past 30 years, having earned both my MEd and Ph.D. at Temple University. I am a member of the Pennsylvania Psychological Association.
In my practice, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and Mindfulness Meditation.
Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on becoming aware of and changing negative self-defeating beliefs to better manage stressful life situations.
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) is based on exploring issues in relationships with other people to help better understand and manage challenging relationship problems.
Mindfulness Meditation is the practice of paying attention to the present moment deliberately and non-judgmentally in order to cultivate self-awareness and reduces stress.
